[Ghosts? Not nice guys. The image is at an odd angle, like the camera's fallen over. It's hard to see Tim at first, harder to hear him because there's a hell of a lot of static. But it fades, though, and it's easier to hear his labored breathing. The angle doesn't change, but Tim comes into view when he drops to his knees, then his stomach. He isn't still, though. His body starts to thrash and convulse, and it's clear very quickly that he's seizing. Cardiazol seizure therapy at its best. The convulsions will slow and stop. Eventually.]

God dammit, say something.

[He rolls over, completely disoriented as he tries to stand. It goes poorly; he's wavering on his knees, one hand on the floor.] What-- [Static cuts him off for a moment]

--Shego?

Yeah. Yeah, it's me. Do you have - any idea where you are? What the room looks like? It's all staticked, I can't see anything right.

It - I-- [He's on his knees now, blearily looking at the communicator.]

You're not green.

[You know that panic she's trying to mask? That's. Not really working.]

Yeah, and I have no powers and my cover story says I'm an escort. Can we stay on task, please?

Where. Are. You.

[He's getting his head back together. Slowly.] Escort. You're an escort?

[Okay, yeah, he's shaking his head and holding it for a moment before looking around.] Room. It's small. Dungeon-y.

[A few cells down, Eddie watches. He only shuffles closer to his bars once Tim's seizure has calmed to a few minor twitches.]

This brings back memories.

[Ohhhh God this sucks. There's a delay in recognizing the speaking, but Tim manages to crawl toward the bars before he has to sit.]

Drugs. It - pentylenetetrazol. Metrazol. [Because concentrating on facts helps. He hopes.] ...They used that? Arkham?

Small and dungeon-y. Great. Progress.

Look, I must be losing my mind but I'm gonna come looking for you. Try and work out if there's anybody else locked up within yelling distance.

Kay. [And a few moments later, when he's less WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO ME and more himself:]

Nygma's nearby. Where are you?

Upstairs from you, I think. It's...less dungeony? Whatever.

[Eddie begins pacing his cell, keeping himself occupied so he doesn't have to listen to the voices assaulting his ears.]

They had the Joker to deal with. They used whatever they could get their hands on. [Facts help Tim, and talking non-stop helps Eddie. It's going to be hard to shut him up.] Personally, I think they were trying to debilitate him, so he couldn't further damage the city's 'good' name. Maybe make him a vegetable.

What's going on upstairs? What is this place?

Used to be some kind of mental hospital, I think. Upstairs it just looks normal-ish. We've - most all of the Inmates - we've all got these aliases, and these people we're not have been invited to a party at this dump.

[...Tim is going to have such a head ache. He's rubbing his temple.] That worked out well. [He's still breathing fast; cardiazol's a respiratory stimulant. He uses the bars to stand up, shaky.] Did you ever? There's another word for metrazol, I know there is...

...Mental hospital. It's Arkham. Great. I guess that makes sense, now. [He's pacing, shaking his hands out uncomfortably.]

Are there any wardens upstairs?

Not...really. There's a guy who looks like the Marquis but I don't know if it's actually him or - oh, who cares, it's not like he'd be any use anyway.

...

The Admiral told us we'd have to find our Wardens and bring them home.

Did he say how?

Just to find you guys and your Items.

My Item-- [And he is patting himself down and then letting out a frustrated sound.] Shit. [DID HE JUST CURSE? I THINK HE DID.]

Keep you spine straight, and sit. Sit. I don't need you knocking yourself unconscious. [He reaches the corner of his cell, and then circles back around.] Me? Oh, no, just medications, mostly-- and that would be pentamethylenetetrazol.

I remember one fellow coming in, completely sane, and being placed in Electroconvulsive therapy. Which isn't all that bad, really. But a few days later, he murdered the kitchen staff. [He taps the bars.] Luckily, you've got a stronger back than he has.

[He's forgotten that he's pissed at Eddie, and decides taking his advice is a good idea. He has to use the bars to sit down again without falling.] Right, pentam-- no, I said that one already. There's another. It's - there's a way to remember it, it stimulates breathing and...circulation, and...sounds like cardio - cardiazol. [And doesn't he look triumphant. For a second.]

What - electro is - they can't seriously be practicing that anymore. [But thanks, Eddie, because that's worrisome. He doesn't want to seizure his way into insanity.]

You said pentylenetetrazol, not pentamethylenetetrazol. [And so Eddie concerns himself with the insignificant details.] The way you pronounce cardiazol is odd, too, but that might just be a fault of your tongue. Does it feel heavy? Is it siding towards your throat? Try not to choke on it. 'Suffocation via tongue' would look horrible on your death certificate.

[Don't worry, Timmy. the GHOSTS would likely get you first.] In here? They're practicing a variety of things.

[...Oh shit. Tim's reaching forward to grab the bars, keeping himself upright.] Stop it. No. I'm fine. My tongue's fine. [And now he's going to bite his tongue. Just to be sure he doesn't choke on it.]

Arkham. I meant Arkham. There has to be a way out. [And he's pulling himself up again, because damn it he's been electrocuted, he can hold up. And search the cell.] There's always a way out.

Stop what? And I see you're biting your tongue. Keep in mind that you're in danger of biting it clean off during a seizure. I'm sure it could be fixed, but then you'd have to worry about choking on your own blood, or swallowing the severed flesh. [lolol so sorry, Tim. Eddie's going to stress you out so bad. And not even on purpose, this time.]

Not since the twentieth century arrived. Or perhaps it was the twenty first. Either way, the only thing keeping the main rogues up at night these days is the Joker's insomnia. [Upon hearing that, Edward begins his search again.] Well, there were secret tunnels in Arkham...
