((OOC: OKAY SO Tim is very much affected. He's about 27, never takes off the costume, and he is SCARY. SO SCARY. He is the quietly intimidating son of a bitch you will be there behind you when you least expect it. He's used to being listened too on the rare occasions when he decides to address the barge. BASICALLY HE'S SCARY AND HAS NEVER HESITATED TO EXACT VIOLENCE ON THE PEOPLE AROUND HIM. Run. :c

[Go to the infirmary, are you crazy bro]

Oh, I figured it'll get better by itself if I lay off the treadmill for a few days.

[He didn't say infirmary :|]

Come to my room.

...all right.

[She's there a few minutes later, walking a little more slowly and carefully than usual but not limping thanks to a combination of aspirin and sheer force of will. You learn pretty quickly not to make it public that you can't run or fight effectively. She taps on the door.]

[She's smart. It's part of the conundrum. He's there at the door immediately, stepping back just long enough to let her in before locking up the door again.]

Sit down. [He has a first aid kit. It's elaborate and he's pulling out the little black case that holds everything.]

[She does. It's a huge relief, but she doesn't let that show.]

You know, you can take off your mask. [A brief pause. She's already seen his face, and it compares very favourably to the 'soulless Batautomaton look.] If you want.

[He doesn't answer, just kneels in front of her and pushes her pant leg up. The gauntlets are tugged off and set on the floor, and after a fraction of a second, he pulls back his cowl, too.]

Does this hurt? [He's pressing his thumbs an fingers against her ankle. Pretty gently.]

No. [But then he moves his thumb a little, pressing into something sore, and she sucks in a sudden breath.]

[Out comes an ace bandage, and he starts wrapping her ankle up, all efficiency. And then comes some aspirin.]

You should have come here right away. Have you spoken with Kirk?

[She accepts the aspirin, but doesn't take it. She's about as painkiller'd up as she can be right now without losing a clear head.]

...Yeah, a little bit.

And? [He knows what's what, but he wants to know how much she got from him.]

There isn't much 'and'. He didn't really say anything in private you couldn't have guessed from what he said in public. [She knows he won't be happy with that, but it's the truth.]

Disappointing. [He wanted plans, even half-assed ones. He gets up to put the kit away, glancing back at her.] Stay out of things until the flood's over.

[Quietly, but said with conviction:] You know I won't.

[He looks back at her sharply, and reaches for her arm.] You're already hurt. What next?

[She doesn't flinch away from the touch, or from him.] I'll fight if I have to.

And then you'll be subdued. Then what?

Then I'll get better, same as always. And I'll know I fought back.

You're putting yourself at risk for the sake of a morality that doesn't apply here, Shego.

It's my morality, Tim! As long as I'm here, it applies! If I just stand by and let things happen then I'm on my way to becoming exactly what the Captain wants me to be.

[She doesn't sound angry, just...impassioned, and a little indignant.]
