[Cissie stopped long enough to make them some popcorn before heading to Tim's room. She knocked twice and let herself in, peeking around the door.]

Knock, knock.

Hey. [Tim smiled at har from his bed, scooting over so she'd have room next to him. His laptop moved from his lap to the bed in front of him, and grabbed the DVD case off the nightstand. Pulling out the DVD, he waved it at Cissie with a grim look before sliding it into the computer.]

If this batsuit has nipples, I might have a breakdown in the corner.

[She laughed and plopped the bowl of popcorn in front of him.]

As long as you don't choke on the popcorn. I think a small breakdown over rubber nipples is acceptable.

[He started the movie with no small amount of dread, grimacing.] I don't know, choking on popcorn might be preferable.

[Cissie laughed and grabbed a piece of popcorn. She turned to throw it at him, and froze, the grin slipping away as soon as she saw the shadow of bruises on his neck. She leaned in to get a closer look.]

Tim. What happened?

[With all that dramatic music, he almost missed her concern. Blinking as she leaned in, he was confused for just a moment before realizing what she must be looking at.] Oh.

I got into it with Slade in the gym the other day.

[A part of her was relieved that at least it wasn't Sylar, but she still frowned at the bruises.]

You got into it--he choked you! Are you all right?

[Tim waved a hand,glancing back toward the screen, though he wasn't really watching.] Yeah, I'm fine. [Considering it was Deathstroke, it could have been worse.]

[Cissie narrowed her eyes, very nearly scowling at him. She couldn't exactly say why she was suddenly feeling almost angry, but she was. It wasn't even Tim she was mad at, really. She didn't yell, but she couldn't help saying something.]

Right. You have handprints on your neck, but you're fine. Did you at least go to the infirmary? Where's Slade now?

Yes, I-- [Okay, that was kind of a lie. Tim rubbed the back of his head.] His warden walked in. And I...kind of provoked him. Sort of. And yeah, it's fine. They're starting to fade.

[Cissie sighed, some of that anger fading. It was mostly the way he had seemed to be brushing her off that had set her off, and now that he was actually giving her some more information, she was feeling less angry and more concerned.]

Why did you provoke him? I mean--I know some of the history there; Cassie told me what he did to the Titans, but...

[She shook her head. She couldn't really blame him for not being friendly and welcoming.]

Have you at least taken something? They might be fading, but they've got to hurt.

I've never seen him like that, [he said, finally pausing the movie they weren't really paying attention to.] I mean, I've fought him, I've seen him pissed, but never like that. I didn't think I'd get a reaction.

[Ignoring that pain comment. He's big and tough, he can take it. :|]

What did you say? I mean, what set him off?

[Yeah, she's letting that go--for NOW.]

[Tim may look a bit sheepish. A bit.]

He was walking away, and I, uh, taunted him.

[Okay Tim, you're getting a Look now. Because you deserve it. See icon.]

...You taunted him. After he was walking away. Why?

[Yes. Yes he does.]

I was pissed! And I didn't think he'd react - I mean, he usually doesn't, but obviously something else was going on...[Which he has been brooding on.]

[Okay, so maybe that look is a little less intense now.]

Maybe it would help if I heard the whole story.

[Oh good, his sweatdrop can shrink. Tim shrugs.] He was in the gym when I went in. We talked, a little, and he was tense. I mean really tense, something was bothering him. But I don't know what. I'd say the whole dying thing got to him, but that just...doesn't seem right.]

Hmm. What was it that pissed you off so much? And what did you say to piss him off?

[God, BOYS.]

Just that, uh, I couldn't remember the Terminator ever walking away from something. I don't know, I was just angry, Cissie. Riddler's been trying to get me to admit who I am, and I don't trust that he's being very private a bout it. And with Wilson just roaming free here...[They are very difficult. :|]

[She was quiet for a moment. She certainly understands what it's like to lose your temper under pressure. And she didn't especially feel very charitable toward Riddler or Slade at the moment either. So--pausing to think.]

I'm not exactly thrilled with Murphy's idea about not reading his file, either. I get what she's trying to do, but I don't trust Slade not to take complete advantage of it. Why would Riddler push for that? I don't get it. How does he even know?

Neither do I. [Tim ran a hand over his face, shaking his head.] Riddler figured it out a year or so ago. Before the first crisis. But he forgot. I don't know how he remembered. Or when. Or why.

Damn it. [She frowned at the paused movie and shook her head, scowling.] Isn't he a Warden? Why would he be pushing you to out yourself?
