[See, the problem with being saved by Sylar is that Tim wasn't the one doing the saving. And that's okay, really, his control issues don't stretch nearly that far; but they do when it means he couldn't save other people. There were a lot of wardens stuck in that basement, after all, and some of them were his friends. And one was among his oldest friends. So when Tim was tricked into returning, he was more than a little freaked that Cissie would be stuck there. It's never happened before, but those ghosty bastards almost OD'd him; the stutter is still in full force. Thank God that'll fade.]

Cissie! Where - if he didn't get you, I - Cis-ssie, please, just--

Tim, I'm okay. Where are you, the infirmary?

Where are you? [He's so good at answering questions.]

I'm here, on the Barge. Beatty got me out. [PAUSE, DARN IT TIM] If you're in the infirmary, stay there, because I'm on my way.

I'm h-here, [and he's mumbling now because oh god she's alive and okay and he will try not to just pass out now.]

[Cissie does not pass go, she does not collect $200, she goes straight to the infirmary and looks for Tim. Because yes, she's kind of a mess and probably needs some medical attention of her own and her clothes are still wet from the near-drowning, but Tim didn't look good and he definitely doesn't sound good. And he's not the only one who can worry. When she finds him, she isn't sure if he has passed out or not, and if he has, she will totally plant herself by the bed until he wakes up, but she'll check first.]

[Tim's constitution is all kinds of maxed out. And he played too much D&D as a kid. When he hears his name he looks up, then he's fighting to sit up.]

You're ok-kay?

[Cissie not approve of trying to sit up. She sits on the edge of the bed and pushes him back down--gently.]

Yeah, I'm-- [Well, no, she's not okay. But she's better than he is.] I'm here. Are you? What happened?

[Totally not okay, but she's alive, and apparently not death tolling, so he'll accept it. He tries to fight her off and sit up for a moment longer, but eventually gives in and lays back.] Sylar tricked me. [And yes, he's angry.]

[She finds his hand and holds it, because she needs to. And because holding his hand helps hide the way hers are shaking. She just frowns.] You couldn't have gotten me out, Tim.

[He clung to her hand, fingers tightening in spasms.] I could've tried! There were other options I didn't get to try!

Like what? [she asks quietly, because maybe he just needs to get it out.]

I could've used the gun. I didn't even - there wasn't even time to think. [He's only this broken up about it because he spent that very long night convincing himself that he was a hero.]

I know. But it wouldn't have--it probably would have just made it worse, Tim. It might have just made it harder to get open.

He shouldn't have brought me back.

He had to. Tim, you needed help, they-- [and she stops, because she's only been out of there for a matter of minutes and she really isn't even completely sure that she's not hallucinating all of this, so talking about what they did to him is not the most helpful thing. It's pretty much the opposite of helpful, and Cissie's grip on his hand tightens and she ducks her head.]

[He brings his other hand up, holding hers with both of his.] Have you seen a d-doctor yet?

[She shakes her head, clinging to his hands.] Not yet. But I'm okay.

[He shakes his head at her.] You need to see one.

[She gives him a shaky smile.] I will. I think--they're pretty busy right now. I'm okay.

You should see one n-now. [Yes, he is trying to dote from bed. :|]

[She squeezes his hands and gives him a Look.] I will, I promise. I just--let me make sure you're okay, okay?

[He swallows, maaaybe realizing he's being ridiculous, and nods.] I'm okay.

[She lets out a shaky breath and nods, looking him over and taking in how, well. Terrible he looks. Granted, if she could see herself, she'd realize she didn't look much better, but near-drowning, electroshocks and some ghostly beatings weren't anything like nearly OD'ing. And it really wasn't the physical stuff that was going to stick with them.]

Are you sure?

[...Which wasn't actually what she'd meant to say, and she sounded about twelve, but she almost didn't care.]

[He squeezed her hand, though that might have just been a tremor. Who knows.] I'm sure you ne-need to put on dry clothes. [They were both going to be in a bad way for a while. Or at least until happy fun times floods.]

[She squeezed it back and shrugged.] Yeah, I guess. That didn't answer my question, though.

I'm okay, [He said, nodding. He was a good liar, though.]

[He is, but Cissie knows she's not okay and, you know. The stuttering and spasms aren't very convincing. But that's probably the best she'll get out of him. She nods and opens her mouth to say something, but she doesn't know what to say. Then before she really thinks about it, she leans over to give him a hug. It might actually be more like clinging, but let's not get technical.]

[Technicalities complicate things. He wasn't even surprised, though, just wrapped his arms around her and held on tight. Clinging/hugging is totally fine.]

[She's just going to settle in next to him on the bed and hang on for a while. Because really, they both need this.]

[Yes. Yes they do. This is the kind of hanging out they need to do.]

You couldn't have helped her.

You didn't let me try!

You weren't there at the beginning. You don't know what happened, what they told us. I was trying to help you.
