[Cissie showed up and knocked a few minutes later, complete with DVDs and brand new blue streaks in her hair. Yeah, girls are really good at peer pressure.]

[Yes. Yes they are. Tim opened the door and stared for all of five seconds before he stepped out of the way so she could walk in.]

It looks good? [Girls are weird. Girls will always be weird. Tim is certain of this.]

[She made a face and smacked him lightly with the DVDs as she came in.] Thanks. At least I didn't get the pink. ...Or the red, and I do want to hear why you don't like redheads.

[He snickers a little and moves to his bed, where his laptop is.] I don't know, red would have looked fine. And I don't have anything against redheads.

[In fact, he occasionally missed Starfire flying him on missions. These are things he doesn't tell Dick ever.]

[Cissie followed, shaking her head.] And here I thought you had some traumatizing story about how a magic spell turned your hair red or something.

[He is a wise, wise soul]

I wore a brown wig, once. [AND THAT'S ALL CISSIE GETS TO KNOW ABOUT HIS TIME UNDERCOVER AS A GIRL.] No red, though.

[Oh Tim, someday Cissie will get you drunk and ALL WILL BE REVEALED. She shook her head, amused. It's a good thing she doesn't automatically think of cross-dressing, Tim.] Well, brown had to be better than whatever you had on your head when you were Mr. Sarcastic.

[She sat down on his bed and shook her head.] We won't get through all of them tonight. Are you sure you're ready for this? [She held them up and passed them to him as she read the titles.] Batman. Batman Returns. Batman Forever. ...Batman and Robin. [Oh man, the neon.] Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

It was itchier being Mr. Sarcastic. [That was a dark, dark day in his past. Very dark. And itchy. Fur lines capes oh God. Tim shifted over on the bed to make room, and frowned as they collected in his lap. Batman and Robin actually made him cringe.]

Batman Begins is the one Martha showed. I guess....we should start at the beginning. [He held up the original Batman.] Just promise you won't let me throw the computer across the room, [He said, sliding in the disk.]

[But the fishnetting on the shirt was inspired. Cissie remembers that fondly. And oh, just wait. Rubber nipples and Arnold Schwarzenegger? They're going to need alcohol. Meanwhile, Cissie nodded.]

I promise. If you feel the urge to break things, try to give me a few seconds warning so I can move myself and the computer to safety.

I'll do my best. [And oh God rubber nipples and there is no pub. Why is there no pub? They will have to bed alcohol off the barge's denizens.]

If you make any sudden movements, don't be surprised if I grab the laptop and run. [...They are in so much trouble.]

So long as I get it back. [Tappity tap and the trouble compounds, because Tim's hitting play.

And a couple hours later he will be staring at the screen IN COMPLETE HORROR.]

I can't believe these made it to DVDs.

[And Cissie will share that horror.] ...I feel like I just had an acid trip.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry. Or cry because I'm laughing. [Though he really wishes Damian made it to these movies, suddenly. He would be endlessly entertained.]

I'd go with laugh. Hysterical laughter seems appropriate right about now. [She shook her head, utterly dumbfounded.] You know, I don't think you have to worry too much about these movies. If this is what people think of... Wow.

[She had a very very good point. But he was still staring.]

Just tell me those weren't nipples on the batsuit. [He wore that suit. THERE WERE NO NIPPLES.]

[...Yeah, okay, sorry Tim but that just shoved Cissie over the edge. She's going to fall over onto the bed and be laughing hysterically and maybe crying a little and totally out of breath.] Oh--oh my God. The nipples. And the neon. Holy rusted metal!

[...Give her a minute, she's gonna need it.]

[He tried to glare, honestly he did. Except that was kind of infectious and Tim found himself snickering, and then laughing, head falling into his hands.]

I can't believe this shit!

[Tim's laughing, YAY! Cissie grinned and tried very, very hard to pull herself together. Eventually she managed it, holding her stomach while she breathed through it.]

That--that was hysterical and horrifying all at the same time.

[Tim has not really honestly actually laughed in...a long time. Well done, Cissie!]

Horrifying. Definitely horrifying.

[Clearly this is because Cissie hasn't been around! Problem solved!]

I think you're right. And hey--at least you're not in them. Though I'd love to see who they'd cast for you.
